Trusts and Foundations

The NGVFA would like to thank all the Charitable Trusts and Foundations who have donated to our cause. Without this funding we would not be able to provide the support to both veterans and their families and we are truly grateful. This generosity means we can continue to provide our vital services to so many.

In the last financial year we received grants from the following:

Unfortunately we cannot name all of our generous donors as some wish to remain anonymous but you know who you are and we thank you for your support.

If you are aware of any Trusts or Foundations that may support our cause please contact us.

Spirit Bottle Lights

In late 2015 an idea was born to make the Charity a little bit more money to help towards continuing to provide the services to the veterans and their families. The craze of the "Spirit bottle lights" was born with our first outing being a small display at the Pickering 1940’s weekend in the October. From then on the popularity has grown and we have not been able to keep up with the demand. In 2016 we attended over 30 events, with the display of different spirit bottles growing each time. We have sold over 730 bottles, with over 850 drilled and managed to raise over £3,500. We couldn’t have done this without the help and support of our suppliers of the empty bottles (only a few were from the staff) and so on behalf of all the veterans and their families we would like to say a big thank you to the following people:

And thank you to everyone who has purchased a spirit bottle light from us (and in some instances several bottles and at different events). Looking forward to continuing the craze in 2017.

The staff and members of the NGVFA would like to say a big thank you to Garry Hukin and Dannii McKeen for their outstanding contribution to fundraising for the charity.
